Baby Shower Recipe – Chocolate Dipped Oreos
We’re on a mission to find fun and easy recipes to use at a baby shower that don’t require a lot of time! In our first recipe we made some delicious Rice Krispie Treats – perfect for a gender reveal baby shower. You can get the recipe and read the full article here.
Here’s another recipe which we are looking forward to using! Oreo’s are probably one of our favourite cookies (is there anyone who doesn't like Oreo’s?) and these easy Chocolate Dipped Oreo’s are a perfect addition to any baby shower. We dipped our Oreo’s in pink and blue chocolate to fit a gender reveal baby shower but it’s really easy to adapt this to the specific baby shower you are planning. Going for a more a neutral party? Try colouring the chocolate green or even leaving it white and get creative with the sprinkles!
Of course we want to throw the best baby shower but often in our busy lives it can be so hard to find enough time! That’s why these Chocolate Dipped Oreo’s are so perfect! They couldn’t be easier to make but look amazing.
With only 4 ingredients and no baking required they’re also really fun to make with your kids.
Here’s the recipe, we hope you enjoy and if you make them please tag us on social media (@zuzucollective) so we can take a look - we would love to see your creations.
Makes 16 cookies
1 box Oreos (16 biscuits)
1 slab (80g) white chocolate
Pink and Blue food colouring (Gel food colouring is best)
How to make them
- Prepare a tin for the cookies to set in once coated in chocolate. We used a baking sheet and lined it wax paper.
- Melt your chocolate either in the microwave or on the stove over a pot of simmering water. Once your chocolate is melted divide into 2 containers and colour one pink and the other blue.
- Dip your Oreos (about half way) into the coloured chocolate, top with some sprinkles and leave to set on the prepared baking sheet.
We love it when a recipe only has 3 steps but if you need a bit of help with melting and colouring chocolate we have some tips in our previous blog which you can read here.
